Are you living a healthy lifestyle?

Here are tips we tweeted last month to help you live healthier. Click on each tip for the source and more information.

Stay fit when traveling by staying at hotels with a gym and taking active tours (walking, hiking, biking).

Read the label on “healthy” ice cream – you may be better off going to a nearby ice cream parlor for one scoop – it’ll satisfy your craving without the artificial sweeteners and temptation to eat an entire pint.

If binge-watching or gaming is keeping you from getting your 7 to 9 hours of sleep, then set an alarm before you start those activities to remind yourself when it’s time to go to bed.

Recent studies find using your smartphone 5+ hours a day increases your risk for obesity and cardiovascular disease – replace your scrolling with strolling – whether you walk leisurely or briskly, moving is better for your health than being sedentary.

Why we post about physical health:

One of the 5 P’s of Life is “physical health.” Staying healthy is important and impacts all aspects of your life – including your wallet with increased healthcare costs.
